1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using AutoDoc Scan ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App, including users of free and premium features. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. License to Use

2.1 Grant of License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Download and install the App on Apple iOS devices that you own or control
  • Use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes

2.2 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App
  • Use the App to develop a competing product or service
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose

3. User Accounts

Some features of the App may require you to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms.

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Free Features

AutoDoc Scan offers core scanning features free of charge, which may include limited usage or banner advertisements.

4.2 Premium Subscription

AutoDoc Scan Premium is available as a paid subscription that unlocks additional features. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, or annually depending on the plan selected)
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You may manage and cancel your subscription at any time via App Store > Settings > Subscriptions

4.3 Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, unused portions of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

4.4 Refunds

All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple through the App Store.

4.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. We will notify you in advance of any price changes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not use the App to:

  • Scan, store, or distribute documents that contain illegal content
  • Infringe any third party's intellectual property, copyright, or privacy rights
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the App's functionality

We reserve the right to terminate your access to the App immediately if you violate this section.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content within the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software — is the exclusive property of AutoDoc Scan or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all documents and files you create using the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the legal right to scan and store the documents you process
  • Your use does not violate any third-party rights, including copyright and privacy rights

We do not claim any ownership over your scanned content.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates third-party services including Firebase, RevenueCat, and advertising networks. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any results obtained from the App

We do not warrant that scanned documents will be perfectly reproduced or that any specific image quality will be achieved.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL AUTODOC SCAN, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, documents, or goodwill
  • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Damages arising from your use or inability to use the App

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AutoDoc Scan and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your use or misuse of the App
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any content you scan, store, or share using the App

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Cancellation of a subscription does not entitle you to a refund for any unused portion of the billing period.

12.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Suspected fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Extended periods of inactivity

Upon termination, your license to use the App will immediately cease.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will:

  • Update the Last Updated date at the top of this document
  • Notify you via an in-app notice or push notification for material changes

Your continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AutoDoc Scan regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
