1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Intelligent Cleaner (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users, including users of free and premium features. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms, where permitted by law.

If you obtained the App from the Mac App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) may also apply:

2. License to Use

2.1 Grant of License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Download and install the App on Mac computers that you own or control
  • Use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes (unless we agree otherwise in writing)

2.2 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it (except as allowed by applicable law or the App's open-source license)
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the proprietary components of the App
  • Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App
  • Use the App to build a competing product or service
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates third-party rights

3. User Accounts

The App does not require you to create a separate account with us to use its core features. If we add account-based features in the future, additional terms may apply and we will describe them in the App or in an updated version of these Terms.

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Free and Premium

Intelligent Cleaner offers free functionality and paid subscriptions or purchases (“Premium”) as described in the App or on the App Store.

4.2 Premium Subscription

If you subscribe to Premium:

  • Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis according to the plan you select (for example, monthly or yearly).
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in App Store / System Settings under your Apple ID subscriptions.

4.3 Lifetime Purchase

We may offer a Lifetime purchase option, which is a one-time payment providing access to Premium features for the lifetime of the App.

4.4 Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, unused portions of a trial may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, as described at purchase time.

4.5 Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must follow Apple’s refund policies and are generally submitted through Apple, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

4.6 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices. Price changes typically take effect at the next billing cycle. Where required, we will notify you in advance.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not use the App to:

  • Violate any law or regulation
  • Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App, macOS, or third-party services
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data
  • Use the App to harass, harm, or deceive others

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate this section.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

The App—including software, branding, UI, and related materials—is owned by the Intelligent Cleaner team or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Certain components of the App may be open-source and are subject to their respective licenses (e.g., MIT License).

6.2 Your Content

You retain your rights to your own content and files. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process and delete files using the App.

7. System Modifications and Safety

Intelligent Cleaner is a system utility designed to remove files and applications. While we implement safety guards (such as symlink protection and system app blacklists), you are solely responsible for the files you choose to delete. We recommend maintaining up-to-date backups (e.g., Time Machine) of your system.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. See the Privacy Policy at the URL provided in the App or on our website.

9. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate third-party services (such as RevenueCat and Apple). Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices beyond what we control.

10. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every macOS configuration. We do not guarantee that the App will find every orphaned file or completely remove all traces of uninstalled applications.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Intelligent Cleaner, ITS DEVELOPERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE APP OR SUBSCRIPTION IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER), UNLESS APPLICABLE LAW REQUIRES OTHERWISE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Intelligent Cleaner and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your misuse of the App (including unintended data loss)
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

13. Termination

13.1 By You

You may stop using the App at any time by quitting or uninstalling it. Canceling a subscription follows Apple’s subscription rules.

13.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your license to use the App if you violate these Terms or if we must do so for legal or security reasons.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will update the Last updated date at the top. For material changes, we may provide an in-app notice where practical.

16. Severability

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Intelligent Cleaner regarding the App and supersede prior agreements on this subject.
